Story Board: Tinkering with corporate world.

If at your earliest 20s you have had some little taste of small success at the startup world, you will never be interested or happy at any corporate job unless you a boss over there.

In January this year, I was having a conversation with her(don't ask me who...) and she was like why don't you just write these people letters and attache your CV to the email. This suggestion came after I told her I would wish to work in an ad company for my national service. People, I'm gradually falling in love with digital ads and branding.

OK so that night I wrote one simple cover letter(one I will describe a crazy one) for my CV telling all 5 companies that I sent  my application that I'm a young innovative young guy who can transform their companies and I attached links to my website and stuff I have created.

4 of 5 of the companies have contacted me so far and I have tried two of them and I think I have learnt all I can to startup something huge right after college. I have learnt that the average ceo or managing director doesn't care about you, yes they don't . If you leave they'll replace you and they will always pay you less of the amount you deserve. They don't care about your dreams and the wish you never had one. Someone told me if I'm loyal to him for 8 years I can buy myself a car after 8 years, yes 8 years. "He was talking to the wrong person" I said, personally by age 30 my dream is not to have a car my dream is by 30 years I should be best in something, I should put a dent in the universe.

"The corporate world is not designed for your freedom"

This is what I said one day of hard coding and serious graphic design work. Your boss only cares about the work input and output and how he will look good in front of management of the startup.

There's no personal freedom and the only days you have for free is Saturday and Sunday. Truth is you will be tired on Saturdays and Sundays and you still wouldn't be able to freshen up fully for Monday and the most painful of all is 8-5  he doesn't care when you slept, all that is important to him is his  work output.

The Adult world is not for those  who want to be creative,  you won't be given the chance to be creative.

Skills

I think one thing that shows its not a matter of no jobs but its a matter skillset, it is skills! It attracts the employer! One of them said at 22 and you already created 3 startups? I think your stuff shows you the type of guy we need here. Although we not employing I want you here.

Certs.
We are all often tricked by the certs that i hold a Bsc in this or a BA so I'm qualified. Eii really what skills do you have. Do you even know how to use the office suit software(word, excel, ppt)? Are you innovative enough? What shows?

Why I'm quiting: I think I'm more creative than my boss. It's like he doesn't have an eye for good design and it's  scary for my design future. I'm not insulting him I respect his struggle to be the boss of me, I think I will loose a lot of time to  make an impact if I follow the normal trend of searching for job after school. "Chale time nor dey" and I can only make mistakes and take risks at this young age.
